Export Wix Site Files to HTML

A website is just files. HTML documents. Stylesheets. Scripts. Images. Fonts. Put them on a server and you have a website.

Wix makes you forget this. Their editor shows pages and elements, not files. There's no file browser. No way to see what actually makes up your site. And definetly no way to download it all.

That's what our export gives you: the files.

After export, you'll have a folder structure like any normal website. Index.html at the root. Subfolders for CSS, JavaScript, images, fonts. Page files organized logically. Everything browsers need to display your site.

What's actually in there:

HTML files, one per page. Your homepage becomes index.html. Other pages get their own files. The markup includes all your content and structure.

CSS stylesheets, your design. Colors, fonts, spacing, layouts. Wix generates this from your visual design choices. It's verbose but it works.

JavaScript, interactions and functionality. Wix's runtime code. Basic animations and behaviors carry over. Complex Wix-specific features may not work without their backend.

Images, every visual on your site. Photos, graphics, icons, backgrounds. Downloaded from Wix's CDN and stored locally.

Fonts, typography files. Your site's fonts load from the export instead of external servers. Text looks the same.

Why having these files matters:

Backup. If Wix goes down, your subscription lapses, or anything happens, you have a copy. Your site doesn't vanish.

Migration. Take these files to any hosting provider. You're not stuck with Wix. Move to cheaper hosting, or free hosting, or your own server.

Learning. Open the files, see how they're structured. Understand what Wix actually generates. Educational even if you don't migrate.

Control. The files are yours. Edit them, optimize them, version control them. No more asking Wix's permisson to access your own website.
