Export Strikingly vs Wix to HTML

Different tools for different jobs. Strikingly builds single-page websites fast. Wix builds multi-page websites with tons of features. Neither is objectively better, it depends what you're making.

Strikingly's whole thing is simplicity. Pick a template, add your sections, publish. The editor is clean because there aren't many options. You're filling in blanks, not designing from scratch.

Wix is the opposite. Hundreds of templates. Thousands of apps. Drag anything anywhere. You can build almost anything but you can also spend hours tweaking things that don't matter.

For a landing page or event site, Strikingly wins on speed. You'll be done in an hour. The same thing in Wix might take a day because you'll keep adjusting stuff. Sometimes constraints are a feature.

For a real business website with multiple pages, services, a blog, maybe a store, Wix is the only choice. Strikingly can do multiple pages but it wasn't built for it. The editor gets clunky.

Template quality is comparable. Both have modern, mobile-responsive designs. Strikingly has fewer options but they're all decent. Wix has so many templates that quality varies wildly.

On ecommerce, it's not close. Wix has a proper online store system. Inventory, shipping, taxes, the works. Strikingly has a simple store that handles basic selling but it's clearly bolted on.

Both sites are "rented" though. Neither lets you export your site natively. Cancel and your site goes away. That bothers some people more than others.

Consider exporting either way. Keep a backup of what you've built. Platforms change, prices increase, companies get sold. Having your own files means you're never truly locked in.
