Export Download Wix Site to HTML

You built a website on Wix. Now you want to download it. Seems reasonable, right?

Wix disagrees. There's no download button. No export option. No way to get your own site as files you can keep. Everything lives on Wix's servers in a format only Wix understands.

That's a deliberate choice on their part. If you could download your site, you could host it elsewhere. You could stop paying them $17 to $159 per month. They'd rather you didn't.

Here's the workaround: render and capture.

Your Wix site displays normally in any browser. What we do is load each page, wait for everything to render, then save the output. HTML files, stylesheets, images, fonts, the complete package.

The process is straightforward. Enter your Wix URL, hit the button, wait a minute or two. We crawl linked pages automaticaly, up to 50 pages per site. When it's done, you download a ZIP file.

Inside that ZIP you'll find your site. Real files. Open index.html in a browser and you'll see your homepage. Click around, internal links work. Everything looks like it did on Wix.

What can you do with these files?

Host them anywhere. Netlify, Vercel, GitHub Pages, all free for basic sites. Or use traditional hosting for a few dollars a month. Or just keep them as a backup.

Edit if you want. The HTML is readable. Add a tracking script, change some text, swap an image. It's your site now.

One thing to understand: this is a static snapshot. Wix Forms won't submit anywhere. Wix Stores won't process orders. Member logins don't work. Anything that needed Wix's backend is gone.

For most sites that's fine. Portfolios, business brochures, landing pages, they're just content. Dynamic features were the exception, not the rule.

Your website shouldn't be held hostage. Download it.
